Crazy chewy bars

Looking into my pantry a couple of days ago, I noticed the mountainous pile of oatmeal we had. We did not have just 1 or two full containers of oatmeal but more like 1 normal human sized container and a frackin (for all you Battlestar Galatica fans) container that I think was meant for a small army. Overall, enough to serve us for I think about three years. So I took it upon myself to do my duty and help diminish the impact through  cooking Oatmeal Chewy Bars. Although my efforts only made a small dent in the overall mass of oatmeal, I was able to make a healthy and delicious snack.

Ingredients
3/4 cup Brown sugar
2 egg whites
1 tsp baking soda
2 Tbs vegetable oil
2 Tbs skim milk
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
3 cups Oatmeal
1 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
3/4 cups sliced almonds
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/3 cup crasins
1/3 Granular sugar
Honey

Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl stir together:
Brown sugar, granular sugar, egg whites, yogurt, oil, and vanilla. Mix it well.

In a separate bowl mix together:
Flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Then mix it into the yogurt mixture, mixing it well. Add the oats, crasins, and almonds.

Spread into a 13x9 inch pan evenly. Then drizzle some honey over the bars (as little or as much as you want). Cook for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and enjoy!!

Note: These are not as sweet as your typical cookie or brownie but they make a delicious hearty snack. Add more honey on top if you want them sweeter.
